# Getting Started with @gallerykit/blur-placeholder

## 1. Install

```bash
pnpm add @gallerykit/blur-placeholder
```

If your app does not yet depend on `@gallerykit/core`, the package will pull it in automatically.

## 2. Use it

```tsx
import { BlurPlaceholder } from "@gallerykit/blur-placeholder";
export function Cover({ src, blurDataUrl }: { src: string; blurDataUrl: string }) {
  return <BlurPlaceholder src={src} placeholder={blurDataUrl} alt="" />;
}
```

## Next steps

* Read the [API reference](./api.mdx) for the full list of exports.
* Browse the rest of the [GalleryKit docs](/docs) to see which layouts, skins, and themes are available.
