@gallerykit/skin-overlay is a side-effect import — it does not export any runtime values. Importing the package once registers its asset (skin or theme) with the matching GalleryKit registry:

import "@gallerykit/skin-overlay";

After the import, the asset is available by name through the corresponding GalleryKit config option (skin or theme). See the JSDoc reference for any internal type signatures.
